Boy Scouts of America changing name to be more inclusive on its 115th anniversary
The change will go into effect on Feb. 8, 2025, which is the organization’s 115th anniversary. Girls began being admitted into the scouts five years ago with more than 176,000 girls and young women participating across all programs, including over 6,000 who have earned the rank of Eagle Scout.
